During Rev. Beth Dana’s sabbatical from January through June 2022, we are excited to welcome Rev. Lora Brandis as a part-time Sabbatical Minister. Rev. Brandis was a member of our congregation for many years, attended Perkins School of Theology at SMU, and we ordained her to the ministry in 2011.

Her first ministry was on the west coast, and then she moved back to Texas to serve as Minister at Horizon UU Church in Carrollton. Rev. Brandis now spends her time as a part-time hospital chaplain and nanny/grandmother to her 3-month-old twin grandchildren.

As Sabbatical Minister, Rev. Brandis will work with the Children and Adult Ministries staff team to support these programs and our church’s families. Her schedule will include Sundays and 1-2 days during the week. Please join us in welcoming her in the new year!
