You may have been meditating for a while and found that the practice waxes and wanes. Come to this class and renew your commitment to practicing. In this 4-week class we will touch on the origin of mindfulness in the Buddhist traditions and how it has been transformed as it moved into Western culture. We’ll review the different types of practices such as attention training practices, awareness training practices, and resourcing practices. From this foundation, we’ll explore how meditation can transform our way of being – in body, in our emotional make-up, and in our ways of understanding ourselves, others and the world. The classes include a mix of short lectures, experiential practices that we’ll do together, and time to share and compare experiences amongst us.
Class sessions will begin on 1/16 via Zoom only. We will transition to simultaneous in-person & Zoom sessions pending reduction in COVID threat level. Register HERE and join class via this Zoom link.
