James F. Hollifield is Ora Nixon Arnold Professor of International Political Economy in the Department of Political Science and Director of the Tower Center for Public Policy and International Affairs at SMU.
A scholar of international and comparative political economy, Hollifield has written widely on issues of political and economic development with a focus on migration and citizenship. His recent books include Controlling Immigration, Understanding Global Migration, Migration Theory: Talking Across Disciplines, and Pathways to Democracy.
