The North Texas Food Bank’s vision is a hunger-free, healthy North Texas. The mission is to close the hunger gap in North Texas by providing access to nutritious food.
Founded in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated and purchased foods through direct feeding programs and a network of more than 400 food pantries and community organizations which are members of a diverse Feeding Network in 13 counties. Since the first 400,000 pounds of food that were distributed in 1982, NTFB’s impact has grown exponentially to deliver more than 136 million nutritious meals during our last fiscal year. With the community’s help, we are committed to closing the hunger gap in North Texas.
