Introductory Small Group Discussions on Race 2.0

The Racial Equity Task Force is pleased to announce a new round of “Introductory Small Group Discussions on Race 2.0” for this fall. These small group discussions were updated earlier this year with new materials and format. Participants in these new introductory groups will attend four discussion sessions, over the course of four consecutive weeks in October and November. The sessions invite members to contemplate and discuss the impact of white supremacy on our culture, and the collective and individual roles we play in white supremacy culture. We will also explore and discuss examples of systemic racism, and what we can do as individuals to help combat it.

Group 1 (this group will meet in person in Lakewood if all participants are vaccinated — otherwise by Zoom)

Facilitators are Pamela Ice & Jean McAulay:
1) Saturday, October 16 – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
2) Saturday, October 23 – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
3) Saturday, October 30 – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
4) Saturday, November 6  – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Dates and times for Group 2 to be announced soon.
