How to Nominate a leader

To nominate someone to lead, please email by August 31, 2022 and let us know:

  • Who you’re nominating
  • Which position they’re a good fit for, and
  • Why they would make a great leader

The Nominating Committee will read every nomination and reach out to nominees to discuss their interest and availability for roles that may be a good fit.

To nominate yourself, please complete this form.

Process and timeline

Each year, the Nominating Committee gathers information about the church’s needs and goals for the next several years through conversations with the Board of Trustees and Senior Minister. Based on those conversations, the Nominating Committee identifies the skills and qualities needed to support the work of the next Board, Endowment & Memorial Gift Fund Committee (EMGF), and Nominating Committee (NC).

Then, the Nominating Committee opens up a nomination period for folks in our community to nominate church members for leadership positions, and starts conversations with nominees. After the nomination period ends, the Nominating Committee creates a slate of leaders

Spring:

  • NC gathers information about church needs

Summer:

  • Congregation nominates potential leaders
  • NC has conversations with potential nominees

Autumn:

  • NC identifies a slate of leaders to fill open positions
  • Congregation votes on the slate of potential leaders

Nominating Committee for 2022:

Tomi Fatunde

Linda Donnelly
