A Close Knit Community in the Heart of Dallas

The professional Pastoral Care Team here at First Church is comprised of our Ministers Daniel Kanter and Beth Dana, and led by our Pastoral Care Director, Jean Ann Powers. They are all supported by wonderful member volunteers who are at the heart of our caring community.

We are committed to providing care to our members throughout their lifespan. We do this by meeting and accepting you wherever you are in your life and spiritual journey, by helping you to discover and make meaning from your life events, by cherishing and enriching our understanding the human journey and each other, by experiencing and supporting you through major milestones, celebrations and transitions, and providing you support and care in times of need.

Services Offered

• ministry, emotional support and spiritual care to congregants and families facing life crises and life joys
• ministry to those who are ill in hospitals, home or care facilities
• the caring ministries of our pastoral care associate volunteers
• grief recovery classes
• short-term pastoral counseling
• referrals/resources for psychotherapy, specialized treatment programs and community resources
